Okay, I did some more playing around, and the problem is definitely the scrolling, and not the
painting. I can grab hold of the title bar, move the window up and down, left and right, and
there's no flicker (and I verified that on_paint is getting called when I do this). But when I
scroll up or down (haven't tried 'horizontal scrolling yet), I get the flicker.
