Changing widget colors using VB

Hello all,

  How can we change a widget color ? For example, the background of
the Edit widget. The Edit widget has a RGB color property. If I
change that to any other color, the background of the Edit box, when
run, remains grey. I tried specifying a Widget class of 'Edit' along
with a Color index of 'Back' but to no effect. If I then choose
another color while these two foelds are specified, the fields are
going back to 'undef'.

  So, what's the procedure to change widget colors using VB ? Or is it
at the time only possible by coding the appropriate characteristics ?
